2019 TOURNAMENT FORMAT
 
BIG TIME - BOYS 15U-17U / GIRLS 9U-VARSITY
Boys July 24-28, 2019 (Wednesday-Sunday)
Girls July 23-25, 2019 (Tuesday-Thursday)
 
POOL PLAY - BOYS

The Boys Invitational, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver Division will consist of 48 teams placed into 12 pools of 4 teams. All other divisions will be based on how many more teams signed up.
 
Top 16 seeded squads in each Division (This will be determine by event operators, scouts and college coaches across the country) and will be placed into four “super pools” (Pool A-E) – all 16 super pool teams will receive automatic berths into the 32 team championship play-off that begins on Saturday. Pool play will be conducted on Thursday and Friday. Teams will either play 1 pool play game on Thursday and 2 pool play games on Friday or 2 pool play games on Thursday and 1 pool play game on Friday.
 
The earliest possible pool play games begin after 5 pm on Wednesday for 15U and above teams. All teams play 3 pool games before advancing to bracket play on Saturday. Championships are over by 5pm on Sunday.
 
PLAYOFF FORMAT - BOYS

Boys 15U -17U Playoff Format Invitational & Diamond Divisions: 

The Top 32 teams in the Invite will advance to the Invitational Championship rounds beginning Saturday.  The 3rd & 4th place teams in the Invite will be move to the Eastbay Championship along with the 16 Super Pool teams in the Diamond Division. The rest of the 32 teams (Pools E-L) in the Diamond will play for the Diamond Championship.

Boys 15U -17U Playoff Format for Platinum, Gold, Silver, and possible other Divisions:

All 16 Super Pool teams (Pools A-D) will be move to their respective Division Championship, along with 1st & 2nd place teams from Pool E-L. All 3rd place teams from those divisions will be consolidated to create the Bronze Championship. All 4th place teams will get a consolation game.

POOL PLAY - GIRLS
 
Pool play will be Tuesday through Wednesday.

PLAYOFF FORMAT - GIRLS

All Teams will be in the Playoff which will start on Wednesday afternoon and conclude on Thursday.


 
JR BIG TIME - BOYS 9U-14U (3-8 GRADES)
July 24-27, 2019 (Wednesday-Saturday)
 
POOL PLAY
 
Teams will be placed into pools of 4. Pool play will be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday. Teams will either play 1 pool play game on Wednesday and 2 pool play games on Thursday or 2 pool play games on Wednesday and 1 pool play game on Thursday.
 
The earliest possible games begin after 12 noon on Wednesday for JR BIG TIME teams. All teams play 3 pool games before advancing to bracket play on Friday. Championships are over by 8pm on Saturday.
 
PLAYOFF FORMAT

1st-3rd in pool play will also be included in championship play. 4th place teams will receive a consolation game. The first two rounds of this championship play-off will be played on Friday with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and Finals scheduled for Saturday. The last Championship game will be held at approximately at *6:00pm (* time subject to change).


 
BIG TIME FINALE - BOYS & GIRLS 9U-17U
July 29-31, 2019 (Monday-Thursday)
 
POOL PLAY
 
Pool play will be conducted on Monday and Tuesday. Teams will either play 1 pool play game on Monday and 2 pool play games on Tuesday or 2 pool play games on Monday and 1 pool play game on Tuesday.

PLAYOFF FORMAT

1st & 2nd will move to Championship round. 3rd & 4th will move to Bronze Championship. Playoffs begin and end on Wednesday. The last Championship game will be held no later than 8pm (time subject to change).

 
2019 TOURNAMENT AGE/GRADE
 
DIVISION RULES:
 
Ages are based on the grade players are in during the 2018-2019 school year. Age determining date is 9/1/2019.
 
* 9U / 3rd Grade Division: Players in the 3rd grade can be 9 or 10 years old, but cannot turn 11 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 4th grade who want to play down into the 3rd grade division cannot turn 10 before 9/1/2019.
 
*10U / 4th Grade Division: Players in the 4th grade can be 10 or 11 years old, but cannot turn 12 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 5th grade who want to play down into the 4th grade divisions cannot turn 11 before 9/1/2019.
 
*11U / 5th Grade Division: Players in the 5th grade can be 11 or 12 years old, but cannot turn 13 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 6th grade who want to play down into the 5th grade division cannot turn 12 before 9/1/2019.
 
*12U / 6th Grade Division: Players in the 6th grade can be 12 or 13 years old, but cannot turn 14 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 7th grade who want to play down into the 6th grade division cannot turn 13 before 9/1/2019.
 
*13U / 7th Grade Division: Players in the 7th grade can be 13 or 14 years old, but cannot turn 15 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 8th grade who want to play down into the 7th grade division cannot turn 14 before 9/1/2019.
 
*14U / 8th Grade Division: Players in the 8th grade can be 14 or 15 years old, but cannot turn 16 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 9th grade who want to play down into the 8th grade division cannot turn 15 before 9/1/2019.
 
*15U / 9th Grade Division: Players in the 9th grade can be 15 or 16 years old, but cannot turn 17 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 10th grade who want to play down into the 9th grade division cannot turn 16 before 9/1/2019.
 
*16U / 10th Grade Division: Players in the 10th grade can be 16 or 17 years old, but cannot turn 18 before 9/1/2019. Players in the 11th grade who want to play down into the 10th grade division cannot turn 17 before 9/1/2019.
 
*17U / Varsity Divisions: The boys’ 17U & girls’ Varsity divisions are actually “open divisions,” where unsigned seniors with remaining high school eligibility can play. However, players cannot turn 20 before 9/1/2019. Unsigned seniors can play as long as they have not committed in writing to play for a college at any level. Unsigned prep school players are also eligible to play in our tournaments. If a player has signed a letter of intent and you think they won’t qualify because of grades, they still cannot play. The tournament management has the right to exclude any senior from playing. No player who has attended junior college or college may play in this event.
